Pre-summer Band Camp and Parent Meeting

Attention all Returning and New Band and Color Guard Members!

Our 2016 Pre-summer Band Camp is just around the corner!

Our Camp dates and times are as follows:
June 13, 14, 15, and 16 from 5-9 pm

All student should arrive at least 10 minutes early each day and bring the following items with me
Musical Instrument, Reeds, Valve Oil, Tuner/Metronome
Music (Warm-ups and Field show music, Go the Distance)
Flag Pole (color Guard)
Wear comfortable clothing: Shorts, T-Shirt and tennis shoes (NO Flip Flops)

On Thursday, June 16th, we will have a BBQ–Pot Luck from 6-7 pm, a parent meeting in the ANHS
Theater from 7-8 pm and then our students will perform for the parents from 8-8:30 pm before we go off for the summer.

Watch for an e-mail to come this weekend with details on the Pot luck of what is needed.

2016-2017 Band and Color Guard information Meeting

Attention to all Incoming Band and Color Guard 9th Grade Students and Parents–as well as returning Band Parents and Students:

We are holding our annual Information meeting for new students and their parents on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 at 7 pm in the band room at Aliso Niguel High School.

Come meet our Director, Staff, Student Leaders and Booster Parents who will give a detailed outline regarding our Fantastic program!

The band room is located in the music facility (Building 1000) Room 1005.   Look for signs as you move past the Tent at the center of the campus beyond the flag pole.  Walk until you can turn Left and the double doors to the music complex will be on the left.

Volunteers & Donations – 4th of July in Grand Park

july-4-fireworksThe ANHS Instrumental Music Boosters request volunteers and donations of cash to supply our food concession at the 4th of July festivities that will be held in Aliso Viejo’s Grand Park, with shifts starting at 1pm.

This holiday concession is our biggest food service event of the summer – your generosity is greatly appreciated!

We are in need of:

VOLUNTEERS: we are in need of cooks, cashiers, runners, set-up and tear-down staff and food servers. We have different shifts during the day for which we need volunteers. To volunteer, click here, fill in your “Volunteer Profile”  information in the appropriate fields, then scroll down to our “July 4, 2015” event, “click to expand list” and sign up for a volunteer shift.

CASH DONATIONS: This year, we are requesting cash donations only to fund our July 4 food concession. It’s easy and convenient. Click on this link to our Food Service Donation page. Use the pull-down menu to select your donation level (from $5 to $50). Then, click the “Add to cart” BUTTON, and follow the instructions to complete your donation.

ANHS Open & “A” Guards Close Winter Season at WGASC Championships

The ANHS Open and “A” Winter Guards closed out their 2015 competition season with their appearances at the Winter Guard Association of Southern California’s Championships the weekend of April 25-26.

Our “A” Guard competed on Saturday, April 25th at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, scoring an 86.75, which earned them a 7th-place finish in HSA Round 1 competition.

Our Open Guard competed on Sunday, April 26th at the Bren Events Center, scoring 75.40, which earned them a 10th-place finish in the Scholastic Open Division.

The weekend competitions marked the end of a very productive, challenging and rewarding season for our Winter Guards. Let’s give both teams and their coaches a big round of applause for putting their hearts and talents into this exciting season!

Open Guard Places 2nd; A Guard 5th @ Ramona (4/4/15)

The ANHS Open & A Guards both competed at the WGASC Winter Guard competition hosted at Ramona High School in Riverside on Saturday, April 4.

The ANHS “A” Guard scored an 90.05, which earned them a Fifth–Place finish in HS A Round 2 competition.

The ANHS Open Guard earned a Second-Place finish in the Scholastic Open Division with a score of 77.10.

Both Guards posted improved scores over the previous week’s competition at ANHS.

Our Open & A Guards next compete at the WGASC Championships the weekend of April 25-26.
